Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Day's End by Gordon Matta-Clark was auctioned at Bonhams in London in October last year. It achieved a price of GBP 24,225.00 (€ 28,221.86), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. Admittedly, works by Gordon Matta-Clark have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pier 52 ( # 4) in October 2016 with an auction result of GBP 131,000.00 (€ 145,937.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Day's End von Gordon Matta-Clark kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 24.225,00 (€ 28.221,86) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 21%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gordon Matta-Clark auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pier 52 ( # 4) im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 131.000,00 (€ 145.937,97).
