Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Drawing for the "Judson Memorial Poetry Reading," #12) by Gordon Matta-Clark was sold in the MANHATTA auction at Christies in New York in October 2017. The price achieved of USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,077.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gordon Matta-Clark achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pier 52 ( # 4) in October 2016 with an auction result of GBP 131,000.00 (€ 145,937.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Drawing for the "Judson Memorial Poetry Reading," #12) von Gordon Matta-Clark wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion MANHATTA bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.077,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gordon Matta-Clark erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pier 52 ( # 4) im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 131.000,00 (€ 145.937,97).
