Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work Triangles within a square, Waddington Prints Ltd., London, 1971 by Gordon House for GBP 176.25 (€ 229.64). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century Prints at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 400.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gordon House achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Diagonal Quarter Red Screen, 1960 in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,530.21).
