Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Clear, coloured and neutrals, Marlborough Fine Art Ltd., London, 1967 by Gordon House was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300.00 – 400.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 312.00 (€ 456.81) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gordon House achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Diagonal Quarter Red Screen, 1960 in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,530.21).
