Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work E. Quoined Chase; F. Mitred Matrix; C. Vertical Screen; and A. Ladder Box (B. 41, 48, 45, 43) by Gordon House was sold in the Evening & Day Editions auction at Phillips in London in September last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 600.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 630.00 (€ 717.00). Admittedly, works by Gordon House have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Diagonal Quarter Red Screen, 1960 in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,530.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit E. Quoined Chase; F. Mitred Matrix; C. Vertical Screen; and A. Ladder Box (B. 41, 48, 45, 43) von Gordon House wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion Evening & Day Editions bei Phillips in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 600,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 630,00 (€ 717,00) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gordon House auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Diagonal Quarter Red Screen, 1960 im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 5.530,21).
