Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Mumbles pontardawe penrhos, Kelpra Studio, London, 1985 by Gordon House for GBP 250.00 (€ 302.27). This price was achieved in the auction Prints & Multiples at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gordon House achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Diagonal Quarter Red Screen, 1960 in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,530.21).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Mumbles pontardawe penrhos, Kelpra Studio, London, 1985 von Gordon House für GBP 250,00 (€ 302,27) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gordon House erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Diagonal Quarter Red Screen, 1960 im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 5.530,21).
