The work View of the Colosseum and the Arch of Constantine by Giovanni Paolo Panini was sold in the Visionary: The Paul G. Allen Collection Part II auction at Christies in New York in November last year. The price achieved of USD 529,200.00 (€ 512,641.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Admittedly, works by Giovanni Paolo Panini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rome, The Pantheon, A View Of The Interior Towards The Piazza Della Rotonda in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 5,317,000.00 (€ 4,709,477.41).

Allen Collection Part II bei Christies in New York versteigert.
