Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Sothebys in London held the auction Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries, which included the work The Lottery in Piazza di Montecitorio, Rome by Giovanni Paolo Panini. The price achieved of GBP 69,300.00 (€ 82,756.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Paolo Panini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rome, The Pantheon, A View Of The Interior Towards The Piazza Della Rotonda in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 5,317,000.00 (€ 4,709,477.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Lottery in Piazza di Montecitorio, Rome von Giovanni Paolo Panini zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 69.300,00 (€ 82.756,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Paolo Panini erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rome, The Pantheon, A View Of The Interior Towards The Piazza Della Rotonda im Januar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.317.000,00 (€ 4.709.477,41).
