Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings, which included the work Figures Among Roman Ruins; Figures In A Garden With Water Springs: A Pair by Giovanni Paolo Panini. The »bidding war« ended at USD 94,500.00 (€ 81,136.77), 18% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Paolo Panini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rome, The Pantheon, A View Of The Interior Towards The Piazza Della Rotonda in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 5,317,000.00 (€ 4,709,477.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figures Among Roman Ruins; Figures In A Garden With Water Springs: A Pair von Giovanni Paolo Panini zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 94.500,00 (€ 81.136,77) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Paolo Panini erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rome, The Pantheon, A View Of The Interior Towards The Piazza Della Rotonda im Januar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.317.000,00 (€ 4.709.477,41).
