This artwork by Käthe Kollwitz achieved an unexpectedly high price at VAN HAM in May 2019. In the Modern auction, the work Die Klage sold for EUR 15,480.00 - well above the estimate of EUR 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Käthe Kollwitz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work „Abschied“. in October 2018 with an auction result of EUR 437,500.00.
Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Käthe Kollwitz erzielte im Mai 2019 bei VAN HAM einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern wurde die Arbeit Die Klage für EUR 15.480,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Käthe Kollwitz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit „Abschied“. im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 437.500,00.
