Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Evasion Xiv (Ferry Pier) by Franz Ackermann was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2020. Here, the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 44,100.00 (€ 37,863.83). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Franz Ackermann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work b2 barbeque with the duke in February 2006 with an auction result of GBP 299,200.00 (€ 440,056.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Evasion Xiv (Ferry Pier) von Franz Ackermann wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 44.100,00 (€ 37.863,83) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Franz Ackermann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit b2 barbeque with the duke im Februar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 299.200,00 (€ 440.056,08).
