This artwork by Franz Ackermann achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July last year. In the First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work Evasion II sold for USD 52,920.00 (€ 51,872.18) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Franz Ackermann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work b2 barbeque with the duke in February 2006 with an auction result of GBP 299,200.00 (€ 440,056.08).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 76 % übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Franz Ackermann erzielte im Juli letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Evasion II für USD 52.920,00 (€ 51.872,18) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Franz Ackermann auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit b2 barbeque with the duke im Februar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 299.200,00 (€ 440.056,08).
