Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tastie Break by Franz Ackermann was sold in the First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online auction at Christies in London in July last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,190.00 (€ 9,780.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Franz Ackermann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work b2 barbeque with the duke in February 2006 with an auction result of GBP 299,200.00 (€ 440,056.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tastie Break von Franz Ackermann wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.190,00 (€ 9.780,31) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Franz Ackermann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit b2 barbeque with the duke im Februar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 299.200,00 (€ 440.056,08).
