It achieved a price of GBP 3,024.00 (€ 3,419.72), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 51%. Admittedly, works by Francis Ruyter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work City of Women in February 2007 with an auction result of USD 42,000.00 (€ 31,746.03).

Die Arbeit Where The Sidewalk Ends von Francis Ruyter kam im Januar 2021 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 3.024,00 (€ 3.419,72) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francis Ruyter auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit City of Women im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 42.000,00 (€ 31.746,03).
