Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Gioventù Bruciata by Francesco Vezzoli was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 43,750.00 (€ 37,035.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Francesco Vezzoli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Veruschka in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 156,500.00 (€ 224,744.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Gioventù Bruciata von Francesco Vezzoli wurde im September 2017 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 37.035,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francesco Vezzoli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Veruschka im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 156.500,00 (€ 224.744,30).
