The work Sol by Edgar Negret was auctioned at Phillips in New York in November 2018. It achieved a price of USD 43,750.00 (€ 38,638.17), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 46%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edgar Negret - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Aparato Mágico, which sold at auction in November 2017 for USD 125,000.00 (€ 105,059.67).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 38.638,17) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 46%. Für andere Arbeiten von Edgar Negret mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Aparato Mágico beobachtet, die im November 2017 für USD 125.000,00 (€ 105.059,67) versteigert wurde.
