Despite a disappointment, a good price for Edgar Negret
In November 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Aparato Mágico by Edgar Negret for USD 125,000.00 (€ 105,059.67). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Aparato Mágico is the most expensive artwork by Edgar Negret that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Edgar Negret
Im November 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Aparato Mágico von Edgar Negret für USD 125.000,00 (€ 105.059,67) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Aparato Mágico das teuerste Kunstwerk von Edgar Negret, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
