Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Vigilantes by Edgar Negret was auctioned at Phillips in London in July 2021. The price achieved of GBP 18,900.00 (€ 22,164.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edgar Negret have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Aparato Mágico in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 105,059.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Vigilantes von Edgar Negret kam im Juli 2021 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 22.164,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edgar Negret auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Aparato Mágico im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 105.059,67).
