Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bloemen - A still life with flowers by Edgar Fernhout was sold in the TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART auction at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2002. It changed hands for a price of EUR 5,975.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edgar Fernhout achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Zee (ochtend) in June 2017 with an auction result of EUR 122,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bloemen - A still life with flowers von Edgar Fernhout wurde im Dezember 2002 in der Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 5.975,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edgar Fernhout erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Zee (ochtend) im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 122.500,00.
