Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2013 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Modern Art, which included the work Stilleven by Edgar Fernhout. The price achieved of EUR 22,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edgar Fernhout have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Zee (ochtend) in June 2017 with an auction result of EUR 122,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2013 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Stilleven von Edgar Fernhout zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 22.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 20.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edgar Fernhout auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Zee (ochtend) im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 122.500,00.
