In May 2019 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Herfst (Autumn) by Edgar Fernhout. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 112,500.00 25% above the upper estimate. Other works by Edgar Fernhout have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of EUR 122,500.00 in June 2017 for the work Zee (ochtend).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2019 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Herfst (Autumn) von Edgar Fernhout zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 112.500,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Edgar Fernhout haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von EUR 122.500,00 im Juni 2017 für die Arbeit Zee (ochtend) beobachtet.
