Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portret Mevrouw Dekker (Portrait of Mrs. Dekker) by Edgar Fernhout was auctioned at Christies in New York in October this year. The price achieved of EUR 6,300.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edgar Fernhout achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Zee (ochtend) in June 2017 with an auction result of EUR 122,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portret Mevrouw Dekker (Portrait of Mrs. Dekker) von Edgar Fernhout kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 6.300,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edgar Fernhout erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Zee (ochtend) im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 122.500,00.
