Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Plate 305 from "Animal Locomotion", 1887 by Eadweard Muybridge was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in November 2020. The auction ended at the price of SEK 10,000.00 (€ 977.57), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of SEK 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eadweard Muybridge achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Selected plates from Animal Locomotion, 1871-1885 in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 114,000.00 (€ 83,455.34).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Plate 305 from "Animal Locomotion", 1887 von Eadweard Muybridge kam im November 2020 bei Bukowski in Stockholm zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von SEK 10.000,00 (€ 977,57) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eadweard Muybridge erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Selected plates from Animal Locomotion, 1871-1885 im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 114.000,00 (€ 83.455,34).
