A top price for Eadweard Muybridge - as previously expected
The work Selected plates from Animal Locomotion, 1871-1885 by Eadweard Muybridge was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2007. The price achieved of USD 114,000.00 (€ 83,455.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Selected plates from Animal Locomotion, 1871-1885 is the most expensive artwork by Eadweard Muybridge that we have observed at auctions so far.
