Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Animal Locomotion (Plate 78). by Eadweard Muybridge was auctioned at VAN HAM in June last year. The price achieved of EUR 660.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eadweard Muybridge achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Selected plates from Animal Locomotion, 1871-1885 in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 114,000.00 (€ 83,455.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Animal Locomotion (Plate 78). von Eadweard Muybridge kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei VAN HAM zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 660,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eadweard Muybridge erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Selected plates from Animal Locomotion, 1871-1885 im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 114.000,00 (€ 83.455,34).
