Auction result well in line with expectations
The work C/Vii/B by Don Eddy was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2014. The price achieved of USD 60,000.00 (€ 48,239.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Don Eddy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Departure Dc 8 III - 1969, which sold at auction in June 2018 for EUR 143,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit C/Vii/B von Don Eddy kam im November 2014 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 48.239,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Don Eddy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Departure Dc 8 III - 1969 beobachtet, die im Juni 2018 für EUR 143.000,00 versteigert wurde.
