Upper estimate price exceeded by 79 %.
This artwork by Don Eddy achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2010. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Study Ii For G.I. sold for USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,190.50) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Don Eddy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Departure Dc 8 III - 1969 in June 2018 with an auction result of EUR 143,000.00.
