A top price for Dean Byington
When the work Greenhouses by Dean Byington was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2017, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - USD 4,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,852.87). This high result makes Greenhouses the most expensive artwork by Dean Byington that we have observed at auctions so far.
