This artwork by David Reed achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May 2019. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work without title sold for USD 68,750.00 (€ 61,664.72) - well above the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by David Reed; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot #439 sold at auction in March this year with the realized price of GBP 67,310.00 (€ 76,578.13).

Dieses Kunstwerk von David Reed erzielte im Mai 2019 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 68.750,00 (€ 61.664,72) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von David Reed; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit #439 im März diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 67.310,00 (€ 76.578,13).
