Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Whitstable Head by David Whittaker was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in London in April 2019. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,541.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Whittaker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Self Portrait Four, Jewel Box (The Broads, Thunder Showers, Late Afternoon, A Young Girl in Reflection, Poetics of the Past Never Forgotten) in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 92,507.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Whitstable Head von David Whittaker wurde im April 2019 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.541,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Whittaker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Self Portrait Four, Jewel Box (The Broads, Thunder Showers, Late Afternoon, A Young Girl in Reflection, Poetics of the Past Never Forgotten) im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 81.250,00 (€ 92.507,61).
