Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by David Whittaker could be acquired at Phillips in London in December 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the New Now auction, the work Three works: (i) ARK No. 6 (ii); ARK No. 9; (iii) ARK No. 12 changed hands for GBP 1,890.00 (€ 2,111.30) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Whittaker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Self Portrait Four, Jewel Box (The Broads, Thunder Showers, Late Afternoon, A Young Girl in Reflection, Poetics of the Past Never Forgotten) in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 92,507.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Whittaker konnte im Dezember 2020 bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion New Now wechselte die Arbeit Three works: (i) ARK No. 6 (ii); ARK No. 9; (iii) ARK No. 12 für GBP 1.890,00 (€ 2.111,30) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Whittaker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Self Portrait Four, Jewel Box (The Broads, Thunder Showers, Late Afternoon, A Young Girl in Reflection, Poetics of the Past Never Forgotten) im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 81.250,00 (€ 92.507,61).
