Auction result well in line with expectations
The work You Are A Woman Just As You Are A Man, 2009 by David Whittaker was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in London in December 2020. The price achieved of GBP 2,550.00 (€ 2,848.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Whittaker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Self Portrait Four, Jewel Box (The Broads, Thunder Showers, Late Afternoon, A Young Girl in Reflection, Poetics of the Past Never Forgotten) in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 92,507.61).

Die Arbeit You Are A Woman Just As You Are A Man, 2009 von David Whittaker wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.550,00 (€ 2.848,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Whittaker erzielen.
