The work Flashe by David Diao was auctioned at Phillips in New York in March this year. It achieved a price of USD 25,400.00 (€ 23,362.77), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 27%. Admittedly, works by David Diao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Twin Dragons in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 143,062.16).

Die Arbeit Flashe von David Diao kam im März diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 25.400,00 (€ 23.362,77) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 27%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Diao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Twin Dragons im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 143.062,16).
