Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Melnikov Studio (photo image) by David Diao was auctioned at Phillips in London in July this year. The price achieved of GBP 22,860.00 (€ 26,670.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Diao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Twin Dragons in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 143,062.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Melnikov Studio (photo image) von David Diao kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 22.860,00 (€ 26.670,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Diao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Twin Dragons im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 143.062,16).
