Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2021 Christies in New York held the auction First Open Online: Post War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled #8, "The Little Suprematist Prisons" by David Diao. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,626.61). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Diao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Twin Dragons in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 143,062.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open Online: Post War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled #8, "The Little Suprematist Prisons" von David Diao zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.626,61) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Diao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Twin Dragons im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 143.062,16).
