Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Art, which included the work Berlin Chair Unassembled 1 by David Diao. The price achieved of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 28,574.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 150,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Diao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Twin Dragons in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 143,062.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Berlin Chair Unassembled 1 von David Diao zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 28.574,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 150.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Diao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Twin Dragons im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 143.062,16).
