Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by David Diao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in December 2020. In the New Now auction, the work Standard Measurement sold for GBP 15,120.00 (€ 16,890.39) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Diao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Twin Dragons in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 143,062.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Diao erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde die Arbeit Standard Measurement für GBP 15.120,00 (€ 16.890,39) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Diao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Twin Dragons im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 143.062,16).
