A top price for David Diao - as previously expected
The work Twin Dragons by David Diao was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. The price achieved of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 143,062.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Twin Dragons is the most expensive artwork by David Diao that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Twin Dragons von David Diao kam im Mai 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 143.062,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Twin Dragons das teuerste Kunstwerk von David Diao, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
