Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Third International/ Tatlin by David Diao was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in October 2020. The price achieved of GBP 44,100.00 (€ 48,969.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Diao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Twin Dragons, which sold at auction in May 2019 for HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 143,062.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Third International/ Tatlin von David Diao wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 44.100,00 (€ 48.969,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von David Diao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Twin Dragons beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 143.062,16) versteigert wurde.
