Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Allies by David Altmejd for USD 27,500.00 (€ 26,036.74). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Altmejd achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The New North in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 217,250.00 (€ 269,007.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Allies von David Altmejd für USD 27.500,00 (€ 26.036,74) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Altmejd erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The New North im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 217.250,00 (€ 269.007,22).
