The work Le souffle et la voie by David Altmejd was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in London in July 2020. It achieved a price of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 44,616.95), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. Admittedly, works by David Altmejd have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The New North in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 217,250.00 (€ 269,007.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Le souffle et la voie von David Altmejd wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 44.616,95) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Altmejd auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The New North im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 217.250,00 (€ 269.007,22).
