Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art | New York, which included the work Untitled 3 (Guides) by David Altmejd. The price achieved of USD 12,600.00 (€ 11,132.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Altmejd achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The New North in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 217,250.00 (€ 269,007.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art | New York durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled 3 (Guides) von David Altmejd zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.600,00 (€ 11.132,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Altmejd erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The New North im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 217.250,00 (€ 269.007,22).
