Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by David Altmejd was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 15,120.00 (€ 13,630.22). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Altmejd achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The New North in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 217,250.00 (€ 269,007.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von David Altmejd kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 15.120,00 (€ 13.630,22) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Altmejd erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The New North im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 217.250,00 (€ 269.007,22).
