In October 2017 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included this untitled work by Dan Walsh. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,504.89), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dan Walsh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Diptych II, which sold at auction in May 2014 for USD 87,500.00 (€ 64,149.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Dan Walsh zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.504,89) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Dan Walsh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red Diptych II beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für USD 87.500,00 (€ 64.149,56) versteigert wurde.
