Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Untitled (In Honor Of Harold Joachim) 2 by Dan Flavin. The price achieved of USD 281,000.00 (€ 206,011.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dan Flavin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Alternate Diagonals Of March 2, 1964 (To Don Judd) in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 3,077,000.00 (€ 2,255,865.10).
