Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Highway by Damián Ortega was auctioned at Phillips in New York in December 2020. It changed hands for a price of USD 13,860.00 (€ 11,332.79) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Damián Ortega have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Auto construcción, caja de velocidades in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 76,994.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Highway von Damián Ortega kam im Dezember 2020 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 13.860,00 (€ 11.332,79) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Damián Ortega auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Auto construcción, caja de velocidades im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 76.994,15).
