Die Arbeit Margin of Accident/Running Gag von Damián Ortega kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 22.018,29) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Für andere Arbeiten von Damián Ortega mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Auto construcción, caja de velocidades beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für USD 100.000,00 (€ 76.994,15) versteigert wurde.
