The work Highway by Damián Ortega was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in September 2019. The auction ended at the price of USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,755.16), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Damián Ortega have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Auto construcción, caja de velocidades in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 76,994.15).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Highway von Damián Ortega wurde im September 2019 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.755,16) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Damián Ortega auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Auto construcción, caja de velocidades im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 76.994,15).
