Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Cleve Gray could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Ceres 6 changed hands for USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,399.03) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cleve Gray - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Remembering Chi Pai Shih No. 2, which sold at auction in March last year for USD 27,720.00 (€ 24,988.73).
