Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wall for Bojangles by Clement Meadmore was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2018. The price achieved of USD 43,750.00 (€ 35,511.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Clement Meadmore - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Upcast, which sold at auction in September 2008 for USD 134,500.00 (€ 95,518.78).

Die Arbeit Wall for Bojangles von Clement Meadmore wurde im März 2018 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 35.511,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Clement Meadmore mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Upcast beobachtet, die im September 2008 für USD 134.500,00 (€ 95.518,78) versteigert wurde.
